Routine Cleaning

Regular cleaning keeps your decking fresh and slip-free.

  • Wash with mild soap and warm water.

  • Use a soft brush or sponge — never abrasive pads.

  • Avoid solvents or strong chemical cleaners.

  • Pressure wash only from at least 30cm away.

  • Keep joints between boards clear to help with drainage.

Protecting the Surface

Your decking is designed to handle everyday life, but small precautions prevent long-term wear.

  • Wipe spills quickly to prevent marks.

  • Avoid rubber, latex, or vinyl-backed mats.

  • Keep sun lotion and insect repellents off the boards.

  • Lift, don’t drag, furniture and planters.

Winter Care

Even in colder months, a little attention keeps your decking in top condition.

  • Use granulated salt (not grit) to manage frost and ice.

  • Clear snow with a soft brush — not a shovel.

  • Sweep away pooling water; it’ll dry naturally.

Gates, Spas & Extras

  • Do not slam or overtighten gate hinges; secure gates during strong winds.

  • Only place spas or pools on decking that’s been reinforced and approved for additional weight.

  • Stainless steel fittings may show small surface spots — clean gently with a stainless steel cleaner and avoid contact with the boards.

Heat & Fire Safety

  • Your decking is durable, but not heatproof.
  • Keep BBQs, fire pits, and patio heaters off the surface.

  • Use a heat-resistant mat or stand them on a separate solid surface.
